Conscious Consumption

While consumption is a necessity for living beings to survive, there is an abundance of problems that stem in a multitude of directions due to over-consumption and consumerism in developed nations. This website is intended to inform, through recognition of how much we actually consume, and invoke a lifestyle of sensible consumption. To do so, the site will include a profile section where the user may link their credit/debit card and social media accounts. The information from these accounts is then generated and presented in order to display the user’s consumption habits.

Cassidy Wolfenson

Originally from Dayton, Ohio, Cassidy now lives and works in New York City. She holds a BFA in Communications Design from Pratt Institute (with a concentration in graphic design), and is currently a junior graphic designer for Lee & Associates NYC. She also works as a freelance graphic designer for Incendiary Designs, and various other companies on the side.

Through her work, Cassidy aims to transform her clients' conceptual ideas into symbolic, tangible design materials. She values design for its ability to offer a cross-disciplinary exploration. Some of the topics Cassidy is most passionate about studying and interpreting are visual patterns and textures in nature, the relationship between humans and nonhumans, and societies and cultures outside of her own.
